Porcelain
Crowns
Often,
when a tooth is too extensively
damaged for a simple filling,
a crown is often used.
A crown is a common dental
restoration that caps
a damaged tooth and restores
it to its normal shape
and size. Dr. Cline prefers
to use porcelain crowns
that blend in seamlessly
with your natural teeth.
Porcelain
crowns add strength to
the tooth. This is a great
choice when the tooth
is too weak to have a
filling. While an alternative
treatment such as a filling
may buy sometime and be
less expensive, a filling
will not support the tooth
structure long term and
will eventually break
down. Dr. Cline encourages
patients to think in terms
of longevity in regards
to the type of dental
care patients chose to
receive.
