Mouth
Guard
A mouth
guard is commonly used to protect
teeth sports. Unlike a night guard,
typically a mouth guard is only worn
on the upper teeth. Mouth guards should
be used by anyone -- both children
and adults -- who play contact sports
such as football, boxing, soccer,
ice hockey, basketball, lacrosse,
and field hockey. The advantage of
using a mouth guard during sports
is that it can limit the risk of mouth-related
injuries to your lips, tongue, as
well as help you avoid chipping teeth,
or even tooth loss.
